Are you useful to God?

Are you getting old, maybe close to retirement?

Are you suffering from a disease such as muscular dystrophy and your body is wasting away? Are you officially handicapped? Do you have asthma and often cough and sometimes wheeze? Do you have symptoms of Aspergers? Other excuses?

How do you spend your free time? How much tv do you watch? How much time do you waste on your cell phone? On social media? On sports? On news? On music? On pleasure and mindless activities?

Do you know more about the knowledge of man than the knowledge of God? How much of your free time is spent reading the Bible and praying? Are you feeding your physical self less than your spiritual self? The one you feed the most grows and controls you the most. Let you spiritual self feast and let your physical self starve.

If you think you are not useful to God, you have benched yourself. You have excluded yourself from service. You have chosen pleasure and mindless activity over God.

God doesn't need our power, strength, intellect and knowledge. He needs our attention, sacrifice, humility, selflessness, obedience, weakness and submission. He needs us to be a good servant. He will equip, prepare and empower us. God wants to use you in spite of your weakness. It is actually better for you to be weak, because God can become stronger in your life. When we are weak He is strong. Just study the Bible, pray, show up by making yourself fully available to God, and obey Him completely and immediately.

By the way, I have all the problems listed in the first paragraph.
